Ugh. Tests and colleges are driving me insane. You can't escape them. Ironically, when I was in Rhode Island and actually AT a college, I didn't think about such nonsense. But...now that I'm home...that's what's hitting me in the face everyday. Oi.
Anywho, I had more adventures in Rhode Island the day before I left....but I'm too tired to write and will reserve that for later some time...

08.07.03 - Strange people here.
Although most of the people here are nice and normal, some people are...not normal. There are so many weird guys here that my friends and I ended up labeling them with..names.
Konichuwa kid This kid stalks a lot of people, but he stalks my friend Alanna especially. He's really strange; once while he was walking around the dorm in his bathrobe he bowed and said "konichuwa" to my friends.
Step-by-step kid This dude is really small and gets easily angered when he is losing in a pingpong game. Mostly he gets on my nerves. My friends say that he looks like a guy from the show "step-by-step" but I've never seen it.
Magak kid This kid invited himself to dinner with us one day. He was nice, but a little strange. I guess he's a lot more tolerable than the two above.
Tree kid There's this kid who looks like a tree because his hair is so poofy it sticks straight out. He's also really skinny and tall, so...he looks like a tree.
Stalker kid One day a friend and I went to the gym. And while working out, this kid just randomly comes up to me and asks questions. It was strange, because he was at the gym and he was just wearing normal clothes. But he just kept on talking and talking...it was creepy. And then the next day I saw him again at the library. Then in front of a lecture hall. It was creepy.
Ok, I'm done. I didn't mean to be mean...but they are strange, indeed...
P.S. I saw the guitar Logan dude again today. Yay.

08.03.03 - Adventures in R.I...dun dun dun
Adventures with a razor...
After I came back from the library, no one else was in the dorm building, so I decided to give myself a little haircut..since my bangs were growing out too long and sticking in my eyes. Realizing I didn't bring scissors [such a practical instrument], I found out that the closest thing I have to cutting my hair would be my razor. So...after discovering a way to cut my hair with it [by wiggling the razor side-to-side], I was the proud owner of beautiful bangs.
Adventures at the dining hall...
So after my adventure at the science library and my adventure with the razor, I went to eat dinner at the dining hall that serves scrumptious food [not] with my dormmates. And then..I saw the dude who won the talent show thing the night before. I kept on asking my friend to go up to him and ask to put up a concert for me. But...she didn't. I guess it did sound like a weird request...
Adventures at the Providence Place Mall...
So after these three adventures, I went to the Providence Place Mall with some of my friends. I discovered that there is this store called Aeropostale here which carries very nifty clothes. [And doesn't exist outside of New England.]
Adventures at the sci library, part 2...
So right now I'm typing up random junk in this computer as a result of absolute boredom while writing this research paper. Quite an adventure.

08.02.03 - I love guitar dudes.
Lots of people sang, danced, recited interesting (!) poetry, hosted game show (?), acted, etc. at the talent show last night. Judging from this list, the people here are quite an eclectic bunch.
Anyway, there was this one dude that stood out from the rest of the performances. His name was Logan, and he stepped up to the stage with a guitar, like 3 other people before him. I expected this to be...dull, because I've heard so many other performances before that did the same exact thing. But as soon as he got up to the stage and began strumming the guitar, there was something different about him. And as he began to sing, his voice was so resonant--and you can clearly see that he was singing from his heart. Unlike other singing-guys, he wasn't particularly attractive, and he didn't display an air of confidence (cockiness). But once you heard him sing, you knew he was confident of every note he had to pick, every note he had to sing. Even though the song wasn't particularly fascinating, the way he sang made me want to learn the lyrics to sing along with him. (yea I'm a dork.) But anyway, I was totally amazed by that guy's performance. I didn't know that there were guys these days who had the capability to express such passion straight from the heart.
